Residency Program

Start your nursing career with a solid foundation at NGHS

We know that starting your nursing career can be scary, which is why our RN Residency Program is designed for Registered Nurses with less than one year of experience. At NGHS, nursing practice is grounded in the “Caring is the Human Mode of Being” theory by Sr. Simone Roach.

This year-long ANCC PTAP accredited program supports your transition into professional nursing practice through:

14-24 weeks of orientation with a dedicated preceptor
Quarterly seminars
Didactic learning
Hands-on training on the unit
Multi-modal approach that includes:
- Use of our state-of-the-art simulation labs
- Escape rooms
- Interactive games and more

We give you the opportunity to learn, grow, and excel all while you are helping improve the health of the community.
We provide weekend differentials and offer tuition reimbursement of $5,250 per year for a total of $21,000, as well as scholarships of $1,200 per semester. We are offering a $10K sign-on bonus for Med/Surg units.
