American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer
The Cancer Center at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) is accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. This means our cancer patients benefit from a multidisciplinary approach to care, including a patient-centered focus and treatment planning based on evidence-based national guidelines.
NGMC is proud to be designated a Research Network Member of the GA NCORP, Georgia’s National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program. As one of only 34 NCI community-based research programs, the GA NCORP research network provides Georgians in urban and rural areas with access to state-of-the-art cancer prevention, screening, control, treatment and post-treatment trials.
