People who choose any of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group’s (NGPG’s) seven Urgent Care locations are receiving nationally-recognized care, as each location recently received Patient-Centered-Connect-Care (PCCC) Recognition from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
“Our providers and staff are very proud of this recognition, which illustrates their commitment to not only providing top-quality care – but also to ensuring that any follow-up care continues to be well-coordinated,” said Tammy Soles, administrative director for Urgent Care. “Taking a few extra steps to set the patient up for success can make all the difference.”
To achieve PCCC Recognition, each Urgent Care location shares details about the Urgent Care visit with the patient’s primary care provider or connects patients with primary care providers if needed. They also identify patients who need follow-up with specialists and utilize Northeast Georgia Health System’s electronic medical record system, Epic, to document patient care and track outcomes. The NCQA evaluates practices every three years and previously honored NGPG’s Urgent Care locations with PCCC Recognition in 2016.
Urgent Care’s expert physicians and clinical staff care for more than 130,000 patients each year through locations in Braselton, Buford, Cleveland, Dacula, Dawsonville, Dahlonega and Gainesville.
