Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) has long focused on creating a workplace environment that fosters employees bringing their best every day to improve the health of the community, and now it’s receiving national recognition for that effort. Newsweek recently named NGHS one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for 2024. The news magazine, which publishes various rankings and surveys, also recognized NGHS as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for three specific categories: Women, Mental Wellbeing and Diversity.

“Receiving these awards is a testament to the incredible efforts of our entire team,” said Carol Burrell, president and CEO of NGHS. “We believe that a great workplace is essential to providing exceptional care, and these recognitions show our commitment to making sure that happens each and every day.”

Newsweek, working with Plant-A Insights, assessed thousands of companies to come up with these rankings. It looked at employee feedback, human resources practices and public data to determine which workplaces stood out. To learn more about the methodology, click here.
