Are you looking for a delicious heart-healthy recipe for your next holiday gathering? Look no further! Byron Harrel, NGMC’s Executive Chef, created a cranberry turkey cocktail meatball with low-sodium turkey gravy, that is both tasty and approved for heart failure patients.

- 1 cup oats ground in the food processor
- 2 tbsp oats ground in the food processor
- 2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
- 1 lb extra lean ground turkey
- ½ cup mushrooms ground in the food processor
- ¼ cup onion finely minced
- ¼ cup dried cranberries finely minced
- 1 tbsp fresh sage finely minced
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary finely minced
- ¼ tsp pepper
- Preheat your oven to 400 F and lightly grease a baking sheet with spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground oats and almond milk, mixing until the milk has been absorbed.
- Add in the turkey, ground mushrooms, onion, cranberries, sage, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
- Roll into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and cooked to 165 F.
