The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) has a new cardiologist. Falgun Patel, MD, FACC, joined the practice today and will be seeing patients in the Northeast Georgia Medical Center cardiac catheterization lab.
“I am pleased to join this elite team of physicians who have earned a distinguished reputation for providing highly-ranked cardiovascular services in Northeast Georgia,” said Dr. Patel. “I look forward to improving the health of the community by offering the same great heart care patients have come to know and trust.”
Dr. Patel received his medical degree from the Medical School Smt. N.H.L. Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad in Gujarat, India. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, NY where he was a chief resident. He also completed a Cardiology fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY where he was a chief fellow. He has been practicing Interventional Cardiology in Lakeland, FL before coming to The Heart Center. Dr. Patel is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and certified by the American Society of Echocardiography.
