The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) has a new cardiologist. Atul Trivedi, MD, FACC, joined the practice today and is accepting patients at the Cumming and Dawsonville locations.
“I am excited to join this elite team of experienced cardiologists who have earned an excellent reputation for providing high-quality cardiovascular services in Northeast Georgia,” said Dr. Trivedi. “I look forward to continuing to improve the health of the people in our community by offering outstanding heart care.”
Dr. Trivedi received his medical degree from the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) under the University of Poona, India. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medical Science (RFUMS), The Chicago Medical School in Chicago, IL. He completed a General Cardiology Fellowship at RFUMS, The Chicago Medical School, where he served as Chief Fellow. He also completed a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Tufts-New England Medical Center and a fellowship in Vascular Medicine at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Boston, MA. Prior to coming to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Dr. Trivedi was the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Piedmont Rockdale Medical Center. Dr. Trivedi is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
