Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Braselton appointed Cindy Danner, MSN, RN, NE-BC as chief nursing officer (CNO).
Danner joined the NGMC team earlier this year as associate chief nursing officer (ACNO) with responsibilities for medical and surgical nursing, as well as our Women’s & Children’s units in Gainesville.
Danner has a diverse background in nursing leadership and, prior to joining NGMC, was previously the nurse administrator at Mayo Clinic Florida, with oversight over the Emergency Department, Surgery Department and Stroke Center. She also served as the director of Women’s Services at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., and previously served as the managing director of her own consulting company. Danner is currently a candidate for her doctorate of nursing practice.
“Cindy will be a valuable asset to the NGMC Braselton team,” said Anthony Williamson, F.A.C.H.E., president of NGMC Braselton. “She has a strong focus on our care processes with the goal of ongoing improvement in our patient care, and she is quite busy now preparing our nursing staff for upcoming growth in our services.”
