People seeking treatment for heart failure closer to home now have access to a specialized cardiologist in more locations. Having recently joined Georgia Heart Institute, Evan Hiner, MD, is now seeing patients in Braselton and in two other locations where the practice has just started offering heart failure services: Hamilton Mill and Bethlehem.

“I believe in working together with my patients and their families as a team, and my role is to educate, advise and advocate for them throughout their medical journey,” said Dr. Hiner. “It is an honor and a privilege to help my patients achieve their healthcare goals while managing their disease and helping improve their quality of life.”

Board-certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology, Dr. Hiner completed an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship at Advocate Christ Medical Center (University of Illinois). He also completed a Cardiology Fellowship and an internal medicine residency at Ascension Providence Hospital, affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

Prior to joining Georgia Heart Institute, Dr. Hiner was an assistant professor of medicine at Augusta University and an attending physician at Augusta University Medical Center.

“Georgia feels like home to me now, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of the highly regarded heart failure program here at Georgia Heart Institute,” said Dr. Hiner. “I believe in providing my patients with comprehensive and cutting-edge care, and I appreciate that this approach is fully embraced by Georgia Heart Institute.”
