Our rehab as a whole for Northeast Georgia Health System helps patients regain independence with the goal of returning home. With six outpatient locations throughout the region – from northern Metro Atlanta along I-85, to Cumming and Dawsonville along GA-400, and into the North Georgia mountains – our therapists help each patient establish goals for recovery. We also have a 24-bed Inpatient Medical Rehabilitation unit at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville to help patients regain their independence and return home as quickly as possible. Equipped for Success.
Radiology and imaging jobs at NGMC Imaging Centers offer the opportunity to work in our state-of-the art center featuring the best equipment in the state of Georgia. Our radiologists work with 64 Slice CTs, a 3T MRI, the Open MRI in the Imaging Center and our Kitten Scanner which makes children comfortable and relaxed during their procedure. With all MRIs under one roof, our ambient designed center is created with the patient experience in mind, and our NGMC Imaging Center in Braselton is a Phillips Show site.
Our imaging jobs offer flexible scheduling. And, our recent upgrade to a new McKesson RIS and PACs system streamlines and interfaces with all other McKesson products in the hospital including scheduling, lab and H&P, providing the optimum work environment.
Education Opportunities.
Our on-site RT School is affiliated with Lanier Technical College. This two-year, accredited program offers radiation therapy students the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with our RT staff to gain the firsthand knowledge of what it takes to be the best in a very fast paced environment.
NGHS laboratory jobs offer a participative management team style in a nurturing environment that fosters a passion for knowledge. Learning in the NGHS laboratory is part of the job. Due to our high level of volume (1.5 million billable tests per year) and the wide variety of cases, NGHS lab tech jobs include the opportunity to observe rare cases like malaria, other parasitic scenarios and unusual oncology.
State-of-the-Art Opportunities.
Work on a wide variety of lab services including basic and special hematology, generalized and specialized chemistry, full-service microbiology, full-service blood bank, transfusion services and pathology, which also includes full service Immunostaining – a relatively new procedure. Our state-of-the-art, highly automated laboratory features robotics and our main hematology and chemistry labs have automated systems in blood banking and microbiology, which is very rare.
Laboratory/Student/Continuing Education Focus.
NGHS works with students as they rotate throughout our lab. Our recent affiliation with the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) and South University in Savannah enables us to work with MLT students from Lanier Tech and North Georgia Tech as they rotate through NGHS. Additionally, the Kathy Minish Education Fund helps fund professional education that is sponsored by site visits and donations to clinical trials for research.
