Comprehensive Care & Clinical Trials

NGMC’s Cancer Services are accredited with commendation by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer – the highest level of accreditation possible. This means our cancer patients benefit from a multidisciplinary approach to care, including a patient-centered focus and treatment planning based on evidence-based national guidelines.

NGMC’s Cancer Services have been accredited by the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) through APEx – Accreditation Program for Excellence. APEx is an accreditation program developed by ASTRO that validates a radiation oncology facility’s excellence in delivering high-quality patient care.

NGMC is proud to be designated a Research Network Member of the GA NCORP, Georgia’s National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Research Program.  As one of only 34 NCI community-based research programs, the GA NCORP research network provides Georgians in urban and rural areas with access to state-of-the-art cancer prevention, screening, control, treatment and post-treatment trials.
