Northeast Georgia Medical Center Hosts Free Colorectal Health Forum

Published: Tuesday, February 14, 2017

Is a colonoscopy really necessary?  Do the at-home screening tests actually work?  When do I really need to start screening?

Join us for a question and answer session hosted by Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) – ranked among the top nine percent in the nation for cancer care – as we answer these questions and more.  NGMC’s expert physician panel – including a gastroenterologist, surgeon, medical oncologist and radiation oncologist – will discuss common myths and facts regarding prevention, screening and treatment options for colorectal cancer.

There are two opportunities to attend: Tuesday, March 7, in NGMC Braselton’s Education Center; and Wednesday, March 15, in NGMC Gainesville’s Walters Auditorium.

Registration and a free light supper start at 5:30 p.m., with the presentation beginning at 6 p.m.  The seminar is free, but registration is required.  For more information or to register, call 1-800-347-1416 or visit www.nghs.com/colon-seminar.
