Northeast Georgia Medical Center Earns 2018 Women’s Choice Award

Published: Monday, April 2, 2018

For the fourth consecutive year, Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) has earned the Women’s Choice Award as one of Georgia’s Best Hospitals. The 2018 honor recognizes NGMC as a leader in bariatric surgery, heart care, cancer care, obstetrics, orthopedics and patient experience.

“Research shows that women are often the driving forces and influencers behind major health care decisions,” says Carol Burrell, president and CEO of Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS). “We are honored that these decision-makers not only see NGMC as a leader in health care, but trust us to care for their own families.”

The Women’s Choice Award identifies the nation’s best healthcare institutions based on clinical excellence, female patient satisfaction and what women say they want from a hospital experience.
